Materials
This website is like a small library devoted to materials that will help you have that Conversation with God. Did you know that there are different methods to pray? Did you know that you will find some of them easy and comfortable and others hard and awkward? Have you spent most of your life thinking that “hard and awkward” is just the way prayer is and therefore prayer not for you?

Did you know that there are methods where you sit quietly and clear your mind of everything (Centering Prayer), and one where you imagine yourself in a scripture story (Ignatian), and even one where you can admire and give thanks as you wander through God’s creation (Franciscan). And yes, we can’t forget extemporaneous and rote.
There is a book titled “Prayer and Temperance” that helps you to discern your personality and what method of prayer would be “easy and comfortable” for you. If you are struggling in your prayer life, spend some time with this book. It has helped me in my own prayer life and in managing small faith groups.

Remember - Prayer is talking to God as you would to a close friend. And if you think about it, your close friend was not always close. It took effort and time for the two of you to develop that relationship. And the first step was to say Hello and introduce yourself. God has the time and he is waiting.

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. (Matthew7:7-8)

Praying the Rosary is normally classified as a rote prayer and as such some people are uncomfortable with it. These devotionals are different in that interspersed amongst the rote prayers are points of reflections and bible verses. Making the devotion more of a story than repetitive prayers.
