Guiding Acts of God

From the beginning God created us to live with him for all eternity.  To assist us in our journey he has put guideposts at each fork in the road to point us in the right direction. He tried it with Moses and the Ten Commandments. But his chosen people still got lost. Then he has sent his Son show us the right path, to be our guide. But still at each fork we encounter on our journey, we see Jesus footprints going down the path that is steep, narrow and rocky. A path lit by his light, but one that a single misstep could cause pain. And looking down the other fork, we see a path that up to the first curve seems to be level, well-lit and easy but it leads in the opposite direction. So which path should we take?
